Gopika is coming back

Gopika is ready to continue her career. Can you believe? She was just married and it was almost confirmed that she wont be acting any more. Now the hot news is that she is ready to sign new offers.


She came to Kerala last week to receive the prestigious Ujala Asianet awards 2008 for best actress. Back in her home at Ollur she told the media that she hasn't stop her assignments in malayalam films. She told that if she could complete her role in say 20 days she will be acting in movies. Now which producer is going to give an offer for a married girl in malayalam is the next question.


Gopika is settled with her husband in Ireland. Then what can be the reason for the come back? May be recession? Must be her husband is getting less money and want to make cash out of the super heroine he had married. Lets wait and watch the developments. Any way we viewers would love to see her back in malluwood with her wonderful performance like "Veruthe Oru Bharya". When she is earning she wont be a "Veruthe Oru Bharya" in her real life. ;)

Bhumika in Malayalam for Blessy

Bhoomika is admired by mallu youth for her homely appearence. Even though she didn't act in malayalam till date recently one of her movie was dubbed into malayalam. Also many of her tamil movies are released in Kerala. Although she hadn't many boxoffice success she is well accepted by malayalis. That is for her girl next door image and appearence which we can find only in malayali actress otherwise. Now the good news is that she debuting in malayalam for blessy's next flick.


Blessy is known for continuosly casting non mallu actresses in his movies. Early he had brought Padmapriya for Kazhcha, Meera Vasudevan for Thanmathra and Lakshmi Sharma for Palunku. His movies have strong female characters. Blessy follow the footsteps his guru Padmarajan in casting sexy actresses from other languagea for his lead and giving them unforgettable characters. We can remember padmarajan's female leads in movies like Thoovanathumbikal, Vaisali, Njan gandharvan etc. Blessy even had gone to the extend of showing Meera Vasudevan in a top less bed room scene for Thanmatra. Controversies aside blessy's heroines have almost equal importance as the hero in all his films. Remember that all of them are superstar movies with mammotty and mohanlal.


This time too bhumika is becoming the heroine of mohanlal for blessy's next movie. Mohanlal is a lorry driver in high ranges in this not yey titled movie. Shooting will commence at locations in Kochi, Coimbatore and Marayoor after the completion of mohanlal's Sagar Alias Jackie.


This is for the first time blessy is casting a famous actress as his heroine. Bhumika hails from Delhi and her biggest hit was Tere Naam in hindi. She is married now and has started different business ventures with her husband. Remember that Meera Vasudevan was a married actress during Thanmathra and she is divorced now.

Bhavana twice with Mohanlal

Bhavana is said to have around 6 tamil movies in her hand. It was at that time she came to Kerala to act with Mohanlal in 'Sagar Alias Jacky'. SAJ is the sequel of old megahit "Irupatham Noottandu" and is directed Big B fame Amal Nirad. The shooting of the film is currently going on in a fast pace.


Now the news doesn't end here. She has signed one more movie with Mohanlal. That is nothing else than Roshan Andrews' second mohanlal venture "Casanova". Mohanlal is depicting the role of a true Casanova the womenizer. Bhavana said to have cancelled two of her tamil movies to give dates for Casanova. She is said to play prominent and different role in the movie. Being a womenizer theme , mohanlal in male lead and bhavana's recent glamour show in twenty:20 we can expect something daring from bhavana this time.


Bhavana was recently seen in Twenty:20 and lollypop in malayalam. She had a glamour doll appearance in both movies. She will switch into a action heroine image in Sagar Alias Jacky.

Offers pouring in for Sanusha

Sanusha the malayalam child artist has now turned into a heroine in Tamil. Her first tamil movie as heroine 'Naalai Namathey' has not yet released. But offers are pouring for her. Her next movie as heroine is 'Reigunde'.

Sanusha is just fourteen and she is still a high school student. She acted as child artist in many movies like 'Meesa Madhavan' and Kazhcha. For Kazhcha she got best child artist Kerala State Award. She did acted in many TV serials and in a few telugu movies.

Sanusha hails from Pallikunnu, Kannur. Her entry as a heroine is in exact time when another child artist turned heroine from North Kerala, Kavya Madhavan is leaving the industry after marriage. One more child artist Shamili is entering as heroine in Telugu.

Gopika wins 11th Ujala-Asianet Award

Last year Ujala-Asianet award for the best actress is won by Actress Gopika. She got this award for her performance in the super hit movie "Veruthe Oru Bharya". Gopika who left the film industry after her marriage is expected to get a great farewell treat through many popular awards for her acting in the Jayaram film.



"Veruthe Oru Bharya" also got four other awars which are Akku Akbar (direction), Jayaram (popular actor), K Gireesh Kumar (screenplay) and Ranjan Abraham (Editing). But the best movie of last year is AMMA's twenty:20. Best actor is Mohanlal in 'Madambi'. Jagathy Sreekumar got special jury award for variety of performance in various movies. K J Yesudas will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievements Award. The award function will be held at Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Trivandrum on January 17.

Kavya Madhavan's Marriage on February 5th

Yes the date is fixed. Kavya Madhavan is going to leave cinema and enter family life on 5th of February. Nishchal Chandran who is Software Engineer in Middle East is going to wed her. Venue is at Kollur Mookambika Temple between 10 and 10:30 am.

Kavya has arranged a reception for her friends and relatives at Kanhangad on 12th of Feb. There will be another reception for film stars on the same day a Kochi Le Meridian Hotel.



Pattanathil Bhootham will be her last movie. Her portions of the film will be completed by the end of January. Last year she appeared only in Twenty:20 and madambi. Her movie 'Banaras' with Vineeth will be released during the first week of February. Hopefully it will get some good collections due to the news publicity around her marriage.

Kanika next heroine for Sathyan Anthikkad

Meera Jasmine has been the heroine for Sathyan Anthikkad for the past several years. Did you thought it will never come to an end? In addition to all the problems created by her in the shooting sets, Meera is also under a silent ban from AMMA due to her bad co-operation in twenty:20. So here is the new heroine for Sathyan Anthikkad's new movie. Its none other than Kanika who is Mammootty's heroine in Pazhassi Raja. Kanika debuted in Maniratnam's Five star in Tamil and she also acted in Ajith's Varalaru. Kanika's Malyalam debut was Ennittum three years back.



Sathyan's new untitled movie will have Jayaram as the hero long time after Manasinakkare. This movie tells the story of a Christian family in Kuttanad. Shooting will start by the end of this month. The rest of the cast includes Innocent, Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, KPAC Lalitha etc. Music is done by Ilayaraja as usual. It will be post Vishu realease this year.

Asin turns arrogant?

Did the stupendous success of Ghajini went over the head of its leading actress Asin? Now a days this gorgeous mallu girl is in the media for all the wrong reasons. The producer of her new movie 'London Dreams' is reportedly having a tough time with her. She is behaving as Ms. Perfectionist as being inspired from her hero Amir Khan in Ghajini. The producer and workers of London Dreams is finding it hard to please Asin with her head-high attitudes.


A few of the designers and stylists have been fired from their jobs because Asin was not pleased with their work. Hairstylist and make-up man Manzoor Khan, who has worked in fashion industry and has also done make-up of actresses like Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone , has gone on the record and said that no matter what type of make-up he did on Asin, she was not pleased.

While Manzoor, now fired from ‘London Dreams’, accuses Asin of throwing starry tantrums, the film’s director Vipul Amrutlal Shah says it was Manzoor who failed to live up to their expectations, or to Asin’s expectation, to be precise.


Soon after the makeup artist trouble was clarified, designer Niharika Khan too quit the movie since she wasn’t able to come to consensus with Asin. After Niharika, the few other designers who came, refused to work with the actress. To get out of the mess, Asin had to order some outfits from Chennai, after which Ashley Rebello was appointed.

Now it is also said that Asin is interfering in direction too. She started telling the assistant directors which shot to retain and which to delete.


It is also reported that Asin wont be returning to South since she had tasted a big success in her first hindi film itself.
